Episode 11: “An Original Sex Podcaster Talks about his Journey”

Episode Summary

In this candid and poignant conversation, Eric Leviton shares his personal story about the challenges of being a Broadway actor during the Covid pandemic and subsequent lockdown of all performance arts. He also shares about his struggles with depression and wants to bring mental health out of the closet. His groundbreaking and original podcast started way back in 2012! “How We Talk About Sex” is a frank discussion about how we communicate and learn about sex and how it affects our lives. Each week he brings on a new guest to talk about how their lives are affected by sex and sexuality. For example, Eric openly talks to both friends and strangers; he talks with people who like sex and people who don’t like sex. Eric also talks to parents and asks them how they teach or intend to teach their kids about sex. He talks to writers of erotica and sexual subjects. You will find a wide range of discussion on this podcast and it relates to the lives of Boomers along with all other generations. Eric and Dr. Patti delight in telling their stories of coping with a global pandemic, as they dish it up to talk about life itself as an aging actor or sexologist, and attempt to dissect the shame around mental health disclosure. This is one fun episode!
