Earlier this month I had the scintillating opportunity to attend the first Sexual Health Expo in Beverly Hills. I met so many pro-sex advocates over the course of the weekend while working at the Alexander Institute booth offering tips on couples’ enhancement products and conducting office hours for prospective clients. Plus, I received some amazing positive feedback about my talk on Helping the Sexless Couple Get Back in the Game again; I am always moved by the power of touch. Volunteers ran up to the microphone to help me show the 5 levels of touch: Healing, Affection, Sensual, Erotic and Sexual. Of course, I didn’t actually SHOW the sexual but several attendees cried out for more! I saw some interesting new sex toys and because I love sharing my experience with you, my loyal readers, here are my faves:

Nuru Massage DVDNuru massage oil is very cool goop that is rubbed all over your body to create a gliding motion for sensual frottage. I was afraid to put my hands into the fountain of slippery stuff on display, but I found the courage to rub a dub dub on my own hand. Now I know why everyone’s talking about this method for sensual enhancement–Alexander Institute (www.lovingsex.com) has a great DVD and sells its own lube for this type of new playful massage for couples.

WeVibe 4Plus with phoneWeVibe has new toy out that can be remote controlled using an app on your smart phone; they sure turned up the power on this little arched wishbone number that’s become so popular for shared toys during penetrative sex. It is very impressive for its high intensity and concept of sharing the power of who runs who for pleasurable thrills. I love this toy.

GBalls2 and phone

Alexander Institute is coming out with the US distribution rights to the single best device for the post menopausal woman: the GBalls2. It is an app-driven, ergonomic, fitable, and secure set of two balls in one skin that allows you to track your PC muscle contractions, record them, increase intensity and get stronger while it pleasures the inside of your vagina. As an older but youthful woman of the Boomer Generation, I can tell you that anything that can help to restore or maintain vaginal blood flow, health and strength in our sexual muscles known as the Pubococcygeal muscles (not the Kegels, ahem), can keep us fit inside and feeling good; this little handy wearable can also help strengthen and tone for eliminating urinary leakage or stress incontinence. That is a winner in my book any day!

Crave Vibrator NecklaceCrave’s duet, a wearable jewelry necklace vibe, is classy and quite strong. One of my friends showed up at a dinner party last night wearing it as an elegant jewelry accessory and only she and I knew what a buzz sensation this can create! This is a unique gift for Valentine’s Day, lovers, so shop away.
